Snow

What a difference 24 hours make.
Last week's entry was entitled 'Cold' because it was.
But upon waking the following morning- I could not believe my eyes!
It was a winter wonderland.
Forecasts and predictions are so extreme and alarmist; I take them with a grain of salt.
So it was again.
Not just the little dusting of flurries I'd expected, but 8+" of snow globe magic.
But make no mistake, it's still damn cold.
REALLY, record setting cold.
So cold that we've had to make arrangements for the birds that they don't turn into chixpops.
Unusable waterer (sort of looks like cake!)
And just like they bitch about the rain, so too are they complaining about the snow; it limits their movements and while that must be boring for them, I have a poop-free porch for the time being.
Below are the photos I took that first day from the same angle as the previous week's shots.
The Redneck Shire always looks 100% better under a layer of powder.
See if you don't agree!

Trying for an art shot, which admittedly *does* look better with snow

Vine-y thing on porch; again, prettier with snow

Trying that panoramic of the creek once more, still a little on the curvy side
