RIP RRT Jr.

Things haven't been going so well out here in The Shire recently and whereas I really do mean to keep up with this easily do-able 2 entries a month promise, I just haven't been feelin' it.
Yes, the rains are back, but remember, I *like* rain.
And Goddess knows we need it and it's time.
And summer did seem awfully long and hot, though I'm getting used to it and rather enjoy the extremes.
(Thank you, Global Warming.)
But all of that soppy grey can cause gloomyness.
Just wait until we turn the clocks back soon, then it'll be too dark to even notice how at least the green's returned.
Hens are moulting.
Feathers EVERYWHERE.
At least it's not frigid; yet again this year Rhoda is behind the curve and could get hit with some lower temps while she's bare-ass nekkid.
They all come hang out on the front porch, right in front of the door and then poop poop poop.
That's not new, but during the wet season, it's messier and funny looking when fluffs and other detritus are stuck to it.
The roof is still leaking from a mystery spot and the garden was a bust.
We weren't even gifted largesse from others' this year.
Zippy's got a flat tire and Dodger gave CAM a black eye.
Dodger- THE CAT!
I'm not making it up and wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been witness to it.
The aforementioned are normal activities and not altogether depressing.
We've had some personal setbacks and heartbreaking betrayals:
Just out of left field that maligned best laid plans, leaving us scrambling for Plan B(s.)
Then something really smacks you upside the head, reeling you back from your pity party and helping to put this life-thing into perspective.
Something which steals your air and gut punches you so hard you fall to your knees grasping for anything solid to steady the implosion.

Our Seattle theater friend died suddenly from a brain aneurysm.
She was only 45.

All of the best adjectives in the dictionary aren't adequate to describe this bright soul,
And that's not bullshit.
I know you're not supposed to say it out loud, and certainly R would never condone such, but I can think of a few people right now I'd much rather have checked out instead, whom the world wouldn't miss a bit.
But that seems to be the way of it, huh?
This so-called 'karma' and justice and what 'goes-around-comes-around'?
You can stick it.
Cuz I'm not really seeing it right now where the bad people are 'getting theirs', rather it's the good and decent ones getting fucked.
Not right. Not right at all.

Fair Thee Well, friend, until we all take the stage again in that better beyond.
